‘There are three matters you need to deal with quickly.’ Igraine spoke to Mox and Mitsu shortly after they returned to headquarters. ‘Two from the board, one from the show.’

Mox and Mitsu still looked at her blankly.

‘What are the other problems?’ said Mox, eventually.

There was a pause.

‘The board requests quick instructions on how to proceed.’

Neither Mox nor Mitsu seemed capable of reaching a quick decision. ‘Eh…what was the other problem?’

Mitsu sighed. ‘Poor Comfy Dolphin.’

Mox looked overwhelmingly sad. ‘It’s tough for dolphins.’

There was another long silence. They stared into space.

‘You don’t seem to be responding appropriately to the board’s request for assistance,’ said Igraine, finally. ‘These matters are urgent.’

Mox shook her head. ‘Sorry Igraine. We just got back from the destruction of Beijing. It was upsetting.’

‘Another Sadanumi simulation?’

‘Yes.’

‘You were nearby when it actually happened, I believe? I’m surprised you wanted to relive the experience.’
